Emergency? Go to the nearest ER or call 911

You were just in the ER.

Two things worth doing before you see your own doctor.

Do not wait

Some signs cannot wait until morning.

Chest pressure. Trouble breathing. Fainting. Bleeding that will not stop. Go back to the emergency department, or call 911.

What this is

A bridge, not a destination

Free, general health information written by an emergency physician. It adds to the discharge papers you were given. It does not replace them, and it does not replace your own doctor.
